Connie Chung has worked for various television networks, including NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and MSNBC.

She has also co-anchored several major news programs, including the CBS Evening News, NBC News at Sunrise, and ABC News Nightline.

Some of her more well-known interview subjects include Claus von Bülow and U.S. Representative Gary Condit, whom Chung interviewed first following the disappearance of Chandra Levy.

After basketball player Earvin “Magic” Johnson announced he was HIV-positive, Chung was the first journalist to interview him.

In 1993, Chung became the first woman to co-anchor a major network newscast when she joined CBS Evening News.

Chung has won numerous awards for her work in journalism. She’s won three Emmys, including two for Best Interview/Interviewer. She has also received a George Foster Peabody Award, awards from American Women in Radio and Television, the Outstanding Young Woman of America, and an Amnesty International Award.
