Kyrie Irving is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association.

Kyrie Andrew Irving was born on March 23, 1992, in Melbourne, Australia as the son of Drederick and Elizabeth Irving, American expats. He is the stepson of Shetellia Irving.

Kyrie Irving’s father, Drederick, played college basketball at Boston University. He has an older sister, Asia, and a younger sister, London. He lost his mother to an illness when he was four.

Kyrie Irving played for Montclair Kimberley Academy in his freshman and sophomore years in high school. He transferred to St. Patrick High School following his sophomore year.

Kyrie Irving played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils and was selected with the first overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2011 NBA draft. He was named the Rookie of the Year after and won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the 2014 All-Star Game.

When can Kyrie Irving play again?

Kyrie Irving is expected to play again the early next year 2022. He can make his season debut is January 5 when the Nets travel to Indiana.
