Nelly is an American rapper, singer and entrepreneur. He was born on November 2, 1974. He embarked on his music career with Midwest hip hop group, St. Lunatics in 1993 and signed to Universal Records in 1999.

Nelly has won multiple accolades throughout his career including three Grammy Awards and nine Billboard Music Awards. In 2005, he starred in the remake film, The Longest Yard, alongside Adam Sandler and Chris Rock.

Nelly has been focusing on his fatherhood life. He raised two kids of his own, Cornell III and Chanelle, and did his best to keep them out of the spotlight for quite some time. The kids are reportedly from different relationships, but the rapper kept the baby’s mother’s identity on DL.

The real reason Nelly stopped rapping is unknown, however, a 21-year-old female accused Nelly of rapping her on a tour bus without using a condom. He was released by the cops a short time after being detained. This allegation took a toll on his career.
