His funeral was held on March 11, 1999, at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in San Francisco, and he was buried three months later at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, California.
DiMaggio was married to Marilyn Monroe from January 14, 1954, to October 1954, Monroe filed for divorce from DiMaggio after only nine months of marriage.
