Flying reptiles are called Pterosaurs. They existed over 66 million years ago.

The earliest pterosaurs came as petition flying reptiles with very strong bodies and well elongated tails. They came in variety off species, size and shapes.
They were flying reptiles that had the capacity to over power an aircraft. They had strong wings made of membrane of skin, muscle, and other tissues.
The lifestyle of Pterosaurs varied from being fish eaters to hunting land mammals, eaters of insects, fruit eaters and even predators of other pterosaurs.
Pterosaurs were often called “flying dinosaurs”.

The wings of pterosaurs were very broad and had membranes connected to the hind legs.
When they land on ground, they take an ugly sprawling posture, and their claws are so strong that they could climb any height and even live on trees.
Are There Still Flying Reptiles?
Although Pterosaurs went extinct millions of years ago, there still exists a type of flying reptile (lizard) called Draco.
Flying Dracos can glide with extendable membranes that create wings. They live on lands basically, and mostly on trees.
