Wayne Thiebaud was an American painter who was the co-founder of the Artists Cooperative Gallery that has been renamed to Artists Contemporary Gallery. Wayne Thiebaud died on December 25, 2021, at the age of 101 years, in his residence.

Wayne Thiebaud bagged the American Academy of Achievement Golden Plate Award in 1987 and he was presented with the National Medal of Arts by President Clinton in 1994.
