Oath Keepers was an organization founded by American disbarred lawyer, Stewart Rhodes. It was launched in Lexington, Massachusetts at the location of the first American Revolutionary War Battle. It was launched just two months after Barack Obama became President.

Rhodes instructed members of the organization in 2013, to form “Citizen Preservation” teams which included militias to operate in communities across the US meant to defend citizens against the government intentionally letting the country descend into chaos and declaring martial law and scrapping the constitution.

He reportedly collaborated with anti-government groups like the Tenth Amendment Center and the Northwest Patriots.

Rhodes has been sentenced to 18 years in jail for his actions during the Capitol riot, after being convicted of seditious conspiracy to “overthrow, put down to destroy by force” the US government. He ridiculously claims that he is a political prisoner, just like former present Donald Trump.

He is the first of those charged with that offense in connection with the riots to be sentenced. The sentence is the longest that has been handed down so far in the hundreds of Capitol riot cases.
