In response to the serious nature of the allegations, Red Bull, the Austrian energy drinks company that owns the F1 team, confirmed the initiation of an independent investigation.

A statement from the company outlined the steps being taken, stating, “After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation. This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister.”

The gravity of the situation was underscored by Red Bull’s assertion that they take such matters extremely seriously, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring a thorough and impartial investigation.

The statement also indicated that the investigation would be completed as promptly as possible, reflecting the urgency with which Red Bull is addressing the matter.
