The 2022 NHL Draft officially began on Thursday, July 7, at 7 p.m. ET. Rounds 2-7 will take place on Friday, July 8, beginning at 11 a.m. ET.

The NHL Draft in 2022 will be held at the Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens. Montreal will host the event for the 27th time, and the first time since 2009.
Round 1 will be broadcast on ESPN and streamed on ESPN+ in the United States. Canadians can watch on Sportsnet or TVA Sports.

It will also be available to watch on Sportsnet Now. Rounds 2-7 will be televised on NHL Network.
The Montreal Canadiens were the top overall pick and got to play in their home arena, the Bell Centre.
Following Montreal, the top five were the New Jersey Devils, Arizona Coyotes, Seattle Kraken, and Philadelphia Flyers.
There were 23 teams with first-round picks in total, but there were a few trades before and during the draught that shook things up.
