Did Lynyrd Skynyrd sue the plane crash?

Ex-drummer of the group, Artimus Pyle was sued by the then-only surviving member of the band, Gary Rossington for trying to release a documentary/movie about the group’s plane crash that took three of its members, and three others.

The documentary titled Street Survivors which was scheduled to release to portray what actually went on before, during, and after the crash was put on hold briefly. However, the Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan overturned a previous injunction against the film.

That crash is part of the history of the band, but it is also an ‘experience’ of Pyle with the band, likely his most important experience,” says part of the ruling.
