Plaxico Burress is a former football player who played as a wide receiver for 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL).
Born on August 12, 1977, in Norfolk, Virginia, United States, Burress played high school football at Green Run high school, and college football at Michigan State.

In 2000, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers as eighth overall in the first round of the NFL Draft.

He had played with the Steelers for five seasons, where he appeared in 71 games, and recording 261 receptions for 4,164 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six fumbles.
Burress joined the New York Giants in 2005 and played for three seasons with the team. During his time with the Giants, he was top receiver with 70 receptions for 1,025 yards.
Although, he faced multiple suspensions, but he caught the game-winning touchdown during Super Bowl XLII, where they were matched against the New England Patriots.
Burress additionally played for the New York Jets, and made a comeback to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012, finishing his career with 553 receptions, 8,499 receiving yards, and 64 receiving touchdowns.
