Keith Chegwin was not a member of a pop group himself, but he had a brief involvement with a one-hit-wonder band called Brown Sauce. Brown Sauce was formed during his time co-presenting the popular children’s television show “Multi-Coloured Swap Shop” in the late 1970s.

The band, which included Chegwin, Noel Edmonds, and Maggie Philbin (Chegwin’s first wife), released the single “I Wanna Be a Winner” in 1981. The song reached number 15 on the UK Singles Chart, but the group did not continue to produce further music beyond this single.

In 2012, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Reality TV Awards, a testament to his enduring impact on the industry. His later years saw him embracing roles in reality TV, participating in shows like Dancing on Ice, Celebrity Big Brother, and Celebrity MasterChef.
