Mayim Bialik speaks more than one language. Aside from being fluent in English, she speaks Hebrew, Yiddish as well as Spanish. Mayim Bialik does not have Prader-Willi Syndrome, however, she did PhD dissertation at UCLA on the rare genetic disorder Prader-Willi syndrome.

Mayim Bialik was brought up by parents Barry Bialik and Beverly Winkleman Bialik. She has a brother named Isaac Brynjegard-Bialik. Her family are originally Jewish immigrants residing in the Bronx, New York City.

Following her graduation from North Hollywood High School in North Hollywood, California, Mayim Bialik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience alongside minors in Hebrew and Jewish studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Mayim Bialik is also known for starring in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory (2010-2019) as Amy Farrah Fowler. Her role on the show got her nominated four times in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
