American actor, Ron Cephas Jones starred in numerous movies before his untimely death. He was known for his role as William Hill in the drama series This Is Us from 2016 to 2022. His role in the show bagged him several Primetime Emmy Award nominations which she won twice for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2018 and 2020.

His entertainment career started in the ’80s when he performed in a play based on the Billie Holiday song Don’t Explain. He went on to play in several movies in his early career. Some of them include Richard III, Het Got Game, Sweet and Lowdown, Half Nelson, and more.

Jones was reported dead by close sources on Saturday, August 19, 2023. According to a close representative, he died from a long-standing pulmonary issue. He was 66.
“Beloved and award-winning actor Ron Cephas Jones has passed away at the age of 66 due to a long-standing pulmonary issue. Throughout the course of his career, his warmth, beauty, generosity, kindness, and heart were felt by anyone who had the good fortune of knowing him. He began his career at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and his love for the stage was present throughout his entire career, including his recent Tony nominated and Drama Desk Award winning performance for his role in Clyde’s on Broadway,” an official statement read.
