American actor, Richard Dreyfuss has played several roles in numerous movies over the years of his career. The actor has also won several awards including an Academy Award. Born on October 29, 1947, Richard Dreyfuss began his career in his youth under her drama teacher Bill Miller at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills Arts Center and Westside Jewish Community Center.

Some of his early movies and tv shows include Peyton Place, Gidget, That Girl, Gunsmoke, Bewitched, The Ghost & Mrs. Muir, and The Big Valley. He also appeared in the play The Time of Your Life in 1972.

Dreyfuss became a drug addict in 1978 when he started taking cocaine frequently. He was addicted for four years and was even arrested for possession of cocaine when he blacked out while driving his Mercedes-Benz 450 SL.

He came back into acting after rehabilitation and starred in the movie Down And Out in Beverly Hills in 1986. He also starred in The Body, Buddy System, Moon Over Parador, and more.
