Gerard Butler played the role of King Leonidas, the Spartan leader who led his army of 300 soldiers against the Persian invasion.
The film was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $450 million worldwide. Butler’s portrayal of King Leonidas was widely praised, with many critics noting his intensity and physicality in the role.
