Damar Hamlin, a Buffalo Bills football safety, collapsed after tackling wide receiver Tee Higgins during a Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals during the Monday, January 2 2023, Night Football.

Team trainers and paramedics rushed to his side as he remained motionless. Hamlin was then placed on a stretcher, and an ambulance arrived on the field as most of the teams’ players came off the sidelines to kneel or stand around Hamlin.

He was taken to the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center around 9:25 p.m. and was reported to be in stable condition.
