Warren Hoge was an American journalist who spent the majority of his long career at The New York Times (April 13, 1941 – August 23, 2023).

In 1964, he joined the American Army, and from 1965 to 1970, he was a member of the Army Reserve.
From 1964 to 1966, Hoge worked as a correspondent for the now-defunct Washington Star.

He served as the New York Post’s Washington, D.C. bureau chief from 1966 to 1969. From 1970 through 1976, he served as the Post’s city editor and metropolitan editor.

Hoge’s first positions at The New York Times were regional editor, deputy metropolitan news editor, and metropolitan news reporter (1976–79). He held executive positions with the foreign bureau in Rio de Janeiro (1979–83) and London (1996–2003).
