Another person also shared, “I love Vera, I do, but the Geordie accents are not good, as someone from North East they are tough to hear.”
Why does Vera always wear a hat?
Actress Brenda Blethyn revealed that she always wore a hat due to a skin condition the character had based on the original story from the book.
“In the book, Vera has a skin condition which means it’s hard for her to go in the sun, she has a bad reaction to the sun.”
However, she added that the producers of the series deliberately chose not to explain it in the show.
