Trevor Horn, the English record producer and musician renowned for shaping the landscape of pop and electronic music, earned the moniker “the man who invented the eighties.”
Fuelled by an early passion for music, Horn initiated his musical odyssey by embracing the bass guitar in his youth. His innate talent and unwavering commitment drove him to self-learn the art of sight-reading music.

During the 1970s, Horn showcased his versatility as a session musician, contributing to various projects before establishing his own studio.
The pivotal moment arrived in 1979 when Horn joined forces with the Buggles, resulting in the creation of the iconic hit “Video Killed the Radio Star.” His trajectory continued to ascend as he was invited to become the lead singer for the progressive rock band Yes.
As a producer, Horn’s extensive production repertoire includes notable names such as Dollar, ABC, Malcolm McLaren, Yes, Grace Jones, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
Horn’s achievements encompassed Brit Awards for Best British Producer in 1983, 1985, and 1992, a 1995 Grammy Award for his role in Seal’s enduring hit “Kiss from a Rose,” and a 2010 Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.
