What is the story of Ebenezer Scrooge?

Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character in the Charles Dickens novel “A Christmas Carol.”

The story follows Scrooge, a wealthy, miserly businessman who cares only about making money and has no time for the holiday spirit or for helping others.
