What is the story behind Derrick Jaxn?

Derrick Jaxn made his debut appearance on his blog in 2012, revealing the mistakes that led to his breakup with his college sweetheart, Da’Nai. Jaxn chronicled the couple’s story on social media after they reconciled, married, and started a family together.

He became well-known for revealing the strategies he claimed strengthened their relationships with themselves and one another, as well as for sharing relationship advice with the general public. Jaxn attracted over a million devoted followers.

Jaxn’s happy relationship status was called into question in early March 2020 when rumours of an alleged affair between him and an unnamed woman began to circulate on gossip sites.

Candice De Medeiros claimed she had an affair with him. She claimed Jaxn told her he was divorced from his wife, Da’Nai Jackson, and invited her to his home, where she saw moving boxes that appeared to back up his claim.

In response to the rumours, Jaxn initially claimed that he was separated, posting a now-deleted video in which he implied that he had not cheated on his wife. The “Self Love Ambassador” then made a video confessional with his wife by his side admitting to the allegations.
