The video game ‘Uncharted’ was inspired by Indiana Jones and other classic adventure films but on the other hand, the movie itself doesn’t have the same breezy, comical, action-packed magic of the Uncharted games.

In the movie, treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan recruits street-smart Nathan Drake to help him recover a 500-year-old lost fortune amassed by explorer Ferdinand Magellan.

Rafe Lee Judkins, Jon Hanley Rosenberg, and Mark D. Walker originally wrote a story based on the game, and it was then turned into a screenplay by Judkins.

Why Is Uncharted Rated PG-13?
Uncharted is rated PG-13 for violence/action and language, though it wasn’t as bad as some other PG-13 films.

Is Uncharted Appropriate?
Uncharted is an action-adventure that may have too much action for younger kids. There’s nothing super over the top, so tweens and teens can watch it as long as parents are okay with the violence and profanity. There are some jump scenes and good action sequences, but it should be fine for most kids over 10.
