What Is The Age Difference Between Barbara Windsor And Her Husband Scott Mitchell?

There is a 27-year age gap between Barbara and Scott Mitchell.

It was Scott who announced the tragic news his wife had died.

“Her passing was from Alzheimer’s/dementia and Barbara eventually died peacefully and I spent the last seven days by her side.

“Myself, her family and friends will remember Barbara with love, a smile and affection for the many years of her love, fun, friendship and brightness she brought to all our lives and the entertainment she gave to so many thousands of others during her career”, he wrote.

Scott Mitchell, is a former actor and recruitment consultant. He married Barbara on 8 April 2000.

Windsor died on 10 December 2020, aged 83. The next episode of EastEnders, broadcast on 11 December 2020, was dedicated to Windsor’s memory.

As well as this, the 2017 biopic Babs, which documented Windsor’s life, was also broadcast.

Among those who paid tributes to her were her EastEnders co-stars, entertainers, politicians including Boris Johnson, former Prime Minister David Cameron, Leader of the Opposition Sir Keir Starmer, and members of the Royal family, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge—who described Windsor as “a true national treasure, a giant of the entertainment world”—and Charles, Prince of Wales with his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
