Samantha Kerr was born on September 10, 1993, in Western Australia, and began playing soccer at a young age.

She began playing for Perth Glory in the Australian W-League in 2008, and went on to play for several clubs including the Western New York Flash in the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Sydney FC, Western New York Flash, Sky Blue FC, and Chicago Red Stars.
As of 2022, she is the all-time leading scorer in Australia and in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the United States.
Kerr started playing for Chelsea in 2019 and has since helped the team win multiple domestic and international titles.
