What is Rosalía best known for?

Rosalía is best known as a Spanish singer and songwriter who became very popular for redefining the sounds of flamenco. Flamenco is a traditional Spanish art style based on folk music, often fusing it with hip-hop influences.

Rosalía is also well known to be the partner of Rauw Alejandro. Rauw Alejandro is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter who is mostly referred to as the “King of Modern Reggaeton”. Alejandro forms an integral part of  “the new generation” of Puerto Rican urban musicians.

Rosalía was raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, a tiny community in northern Barcelona, where she was born on September 25, 1992.  She is the youngest child of businesswoman Pilar Tobella, who has been in charge of the family’s metalworking-focused business for many years. Cudillero, Asturias, is where José Manuel Vila, her father, was born.
