Rebel Moon is an upcoming American epic space opera film, based on a story created by Zack Snyder and Kurt Johnstad.

Rebel Moon follows the story of a young woman (Kora, played by Sofia Boutella) in search of warriors from nearby planets to help her people fight and defeat the raging enemy troop now confronting her colony.

The desperate civilians believe that Kora would help them find a solution. The enemy army is led by a tyrant – Regent Balisarius. On the other hand, Kora has a mysterious past yet to be unveiled.

The film is “inspired by the works of Akira Kurosawa and the Star Wars films”. Principal photography began in April 2022, with Zack Snyder as director.

Rebel Moon is portrayed by “an ensemble of cast that includes Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Ray Fisher, Djimon Hounsou, Jena Malone, Corey Stoll, Ed Skrein, Cleopatra Coleman, Fra Fee, Cary Elwes, and Anthony Hopkins.”
