French professional footballer, Kylian Mbappe has signed a new contract extension with Paris Saint German (PSG) which will last for three seasons up until 2025. The new contract has raised many concerns on social media as Real Madrid fans have expressed extreme disappointment in the 23-year-old player for not signing for them “as he promised.”

What is Mbappe’s new contract? Kylian Mbappe is now set to become the world’s highest-paid footballer after his new three-year contract with PSG. According to Sky sports, his weekly wage will reportedly be around 1 million GBP.

It was reported earlier that, Real Madrid was ready to sign the “goal scoring machine” for 230 million Euros, with a signing fee of 110 million GBP and wages of 20 million GBP a year after tax, making their total investment cap around 300 million GBP.
However, the deal didn’t go through as Mbappe has decided to stay at PSG.
“I am convinced that here I can continue to grow at a club that provides everything necessary to perform at the highest level. I am also delighted to continue to play in France, the country where I was born, where I have grown up, and where I have made my name,” he said.
Some sources also claim that Mbappe’s new contract is ridiculous, therefore, some benefits should be slashed down. Some of these include;
- 300 million Euros signing bonus.
- 100 million Euros a year after tax.
- He will help decide on the coach.
- He will have a say on the sporting director.
- He can approve signings and sales.
However, genuine sources have proven that some of these factors are a hoaxes.
