Jay Sean is still active in the music industry. He recently performed at Zomaland, a food and culture carnival, in Delhi. Jay Sean is currently on his India tour, which started in December 2023.

Jay Sean was never a doctor. He went to a private boys school and won himself a place at the Barts & the London, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine & Dentistry in London to train as a doctor.

After two years Jay Sean secured a one million pounds record deal and dropped out to pursue a musical career. He started his music career in the UK’s Asian Underground scene as a member of the Rishi Rich Project with “Dance with You”.

From 2009 up to 2014, Jay Sean was signed to Cash Money Records. Jay Sean was ranked No. 35 in Billboard’s Hot 100 Artists of 2009.

Jay Sean became the first male act since Chingy in 2003 to “simultaneously appear in the Hot 100 top 10 with his first two charting singles”.
