Who Is Felix Cavaliere?

Felix Cavaliere is a songwriter and lead singer of the famous music band Young Rascals.

Born on November 29, 1942, in New York, Felix learnt how to play the piano at an early age while attending the Allaire School of Music. Even as a student at Syracuse University, Felix never stopped doing music.

Felix played the Hammond B-3 organ, as a member of the Rascals, together with Eddie Brigati, Dino Danelli and Gene Cornish.

Felix produced many songs under the name Treasure and released an album in 1977. His solo hit “Only a Lonely Heart Sees”, came in 1980, ranking amongst top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 2 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Also, in 1994, he released the hit track Dreams in Motion.

Felix did a number of collaborations with the likes of Steve Van Zandt, Steve Cropper, Ringo Starts, and Carole King.

In addition, the Rascals musical work, “Once Upon A Dream”, upon its release, made waves in the entire North American region.

In 2006, Felix was inducted Vanilla Fudge into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame; and in 2017 and 2018, he appeared in Time Life The 60s Music CD’s infomercial.

Felix has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the (Young) Rascals, the Syracuse Area Music Awards Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Hammond Hall of Fame, and the Musicians Hall of Fame.
