Diane Ladd is famous because of her successful acting career. She has been acting for over 60 years; since 1957. She started her career when she made her Broadway debut in Carry Me Back to Morningside Heights in 1968. She also appeared in A Texas Trilogy: Lu Ann Hampton Laverty Oberlander.

In 1971, she joined the cast of the CBS soap opera The Secret Storm. She was the second actress to play the role of Kitty Styles on the long-running daytime serial.

Later on, she had a supporting role in Roman Polanski’s Chinatown in 1974. She bagged a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as Flo in the film Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.

In 1992, Ladd appeared in the independent screwball comedy Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, where she played a flirty aging Southern belle alongside her real mother, actress Mary Lainer.
From 2004 to 2007, Ladd appeared in several movies and tv shows including Kingdom Hospital, Montana Sky, Rambling Rose, and more. She has been nominated for and won several awards including Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, BAFTA Awards, and Golden Globe Awards.
She received a Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 1, 2010. She also starred in the Hallmark Channel series Chesapeake Shores.
Ladd has appeared in several movies and tv shows including Boonville Redemption, The Last Full Measure, Charlie’s Christmas Wish, Charming the Hearts of Men, Gigi & Nate, Chesapeake Shores, Christmas Lost and Found, Young Sheldon, and more, in recent years.
