In high school, Chuck Liddell was a four-year starter on the football team at San Marcos High School, playing center and linebacker.

Chuck Liddell was inducted into the Cal Poly Hall of Fame in 2009. On May 9, 2007, Chuck Liddell became the first UFC fighter to be on the cover of ESPN The Magazine.

On April 16, 2005, at UFC 52, Chuck Liddell fought Randy Couture a second time for the light heavyweight title. Liddell knocked him out making him the new UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.
Chuck Liddell defeated Wanderlei Silva on October 23, 2007, at UFC 79 via unanimous decision. Their fight was voted 2007’s Fight of the Year at the first annual World Mixed Martial Arts Awards and became Liddell’s final victory in MMA.
In early 2005, Chuck Liddell was a coach on the inaugural season of Spike TV’s reality show, The Ultimate Fighter.
