Cat Stevens is famous for being one of the most influential singer-songwriters of all time.  He achieved superstardom with hits like “Morning Has Broken,” “Moonshadow” and “Peace Train.”

Cat Stevens is known for a distinct musical style consisting of folk, pop, rock, and, later in his career, Islamic music. Stevens was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

“I’m Gonna Get Me a Gun” was his second UK top-10 single, reaching number 6. Some of Cat Stevens’ songs include “Father and Son”, “Wild World”, “Moonshadow”, “Peace Train”, and “Morning Has Broken”.

Cat Stevens earned ASCAP songwriting awards in 2005 and 2006 for “The First Cut Is the Deepest”, which has been a hit for four artists. In 2009, Cat Stevens released the album Roadsinger.

In 2014, Cat Stevens released the album Tell ‘Em I’m Gone and began his first US tour since 1978. In July 1970, Stevens recorded one of his songs, “But I Might Die Tonight”, for the Jerzy Skolimowski film Deep End.
