He gained a large, young audience in the 1990s as the host of MTV’s Total Request Live, and his popularity has continued into the twenty-first century.

Daly started serving as the host and executive producer of NBC’s reality music competition The Voice in 2011.  As the host, Daly had to sit through blind auditions with the relatives of the contestants.

Carson Daly has won four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program as a producer of The Voice, first in 2013 and then again in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Carson Daly had a late-night television show Last Call with Carson Daly. From 2002 to 2019, NBC aired Last Call with Carson Daly on their network. The show’s original format was a late-night talk show, similar to The Tonight Show and Late Night, and it was hosted by former MTV personality Carson Daly.

After its 2,000th and final episode, which aired on May 25, 2019, NBC announced in February 2019 that the show would end.
