Andor is a new American television series produced by Tony Gilroy for Disney+. It’s a prequel to the Star Wars film Rogue One (2016).

Andor’s first season, which will consist of 12 episodes, will premiere on Disney+ on August 31, 2022. A second season with 12 episodes is in development.

Andor follows Cassian Andor five years before the events of the movie. Captain Cassian is a Rebel Alliance pilot, intelligence officer, and the captain of Rogue One, a rebel force tasked with stealing the schematics to the Death Star, a weapon capable of destroying a planet.

The Andor series will take a new look at the Star Wars universe. Focusing on Andor’s quest to find how he can make a difference. It is set on the Imperial planet of Scarif

The series will tell the story of how people and worlds were involved in the developing rebellion against The Empire. Danger, deception, and intrigue exist in this era. Andor will set out on a journey that will lead him to become a rebel hero.
