What is a P-22 animal?

P-22 is a mountain lion that lives in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. P-22 is believed to have been born in the Santa Monica Mountains, which are located west of Los Angeles.

P-22  is estimated to be around 9 years old. P-22 has been the subject of several scientific studies, and researchers have monitored his movements and behaviour to learn more about mountain lions in urban environments.

P-22, the mountain lion known as “the Hollywood cat” has been euthanized by state wildlife officials on Saturday, 17th December 2022. P-22, the mountain lion was euthanized due to injuries and poor health.
