Mozart was a multi-instrumentalist who played the violin, viola, harp, flute, clarinet, trumpet, horn, oboe, bassoon, and more. He was known for his agility and flexibility in composing over 40 concertos.

It is recorded that Mozart could perform on the piano while blindfolded. Mozart was also known to have performed with his hands crossed while playing the piano.

Mozart’s father, Leopold Mozart, was a composer and music teacher who recognized his son’s talent at an early age and devoted himself to his son’s musical education.
In Milan, Mozart wrote the opera Mitridate, re di Ponto (1770). From 1782 to 1785 Mozart mounted concerts with himself as a soloist, presenting three or four new piano concertos in each season.
Mozart also composed many symphonies, including the “Jupiter Symphony” (1788), and chamber music, such as the “Eine kleine Nachtmusik” (1787).
