Laura Wienroither suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament during Monday’s Champions League semi-final defeat by Wolfsburg in May 2023. Wienroither became the fourth player at the club with the same injury (ruptured ACL).

Laura Wienroither plays as a defender. On 15 January 2022, Wienroither joined FA WSL side Arsenal from German club 1899 Hoffenheim for an undisclosed fee.

Laura Wienroither was born in Vöcklabruck, Austria. For her youth career, Laura Wienroither played for TSV Frankenburg from 2007 to 2013 and then for SV Neulengbach in 2017. She has represented her home country at the international level.

Laura Wienroither represented Austria at the U17 level from 2014–2016  and then from 2016 to 2018,  she represented Austria at the U19 level.

As part of her senior career, Laura Wienroither played for Union Kleinmünchen II from 2013 to 2014 and then from 2014 to 2016, she played with Union Kleinmünchen.

From 2016 to 2017, Laura Wienroither plays for SV Neulengbach. She played for SKN St. Pölten from 2017 to 2018. Laura Wienroither played for 1899 Hoffenheim II (2018–2022) and 1899 Hoffenheim (2019–2022).
