“I’m not giving too much away with the show when I say that in this meeting with Jonathan, the audience are greeted with a headline and the news he has been ‘cancelled’”, Pie had announced.

Who Is Jonathan Pie?

Jonathan Pie is a fictional character created and played by English actor cum comedian Tom Walker.

Pie is portrayed as a political journalist appearing in many comic web videos, in which he publicly laments and criticizes British, American, and Australian politics.

Pie has also featured as a journalist for the Australian satirical news programme The Weekly.

In 2018, Pie conducted his Back to the Studio tour in UK, Australia, and America. He later collaborated with film producer Franny Armstrong in producing the mockumentary titled Pie Net Zero.

In 2022, Pie became a more regular face on The New York Times website and YouTube channel, commenting on UK politics revolving around Boris Johnson, the Russian-Ukraine crisis, the UK energy crisis, rising inflation, labour strikes and so on.
