In 2018, Pro golfer Matt Kuchar paid his caddie, David “El Tucan” Ortiz, only $5,000 out of his earnings of almost $1.3 million.

Usually, caddies are to be paid 10% of the golfer’s earning.

The issue led to a controversy and media outbursts between Kuchar and Ortiz.

Kuchar had stiffed his caddie at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in 2018, when he paid him below expectation.

Matthew Kuchar is an American professional golfer who used to play on the Nationwide Tour, but now plays on the PGA Tour.

Born on June 21, 1978, in Florida, Kuchar attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta, where played golf and was a “two-time first-team All-American on the Yellow Jackets’ golf team.”

Kuchar holds a record of nine wins on the PGA Tour and 18 professional wins so far in his career.

As of 2010, he was a top money earner on the PGA Tour, although his career had suffered a little setback due to health constraints.

In 2012, Kuchar won The Players Championship, which has been his biggest tournament victory so far. He also achieved a career high of world number five at the time.

In 2013, Kuchar won his first World Golf Championship at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

He also participated in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he won a bronze medal.

Kuchar has so far made over $50 million career earnings.
