Sometime in early 2015, Vanessa Redgrave suffered a heart attack which she survived. She later revealed that her lungs had been badly damaged due to years of smoking.

In 2010, Redgrave had lost her brother, Corin Redgrave, and sister, Lynn Redgrave.
About Vanessa Redgrave
Redgrave hails from a family of actors. She was born on January 30, 1937, in Blackheath, London, England, and attended the Central School of Speech and Drama in 1954.
At the time, Redgrave appeared in a number of West End productions, Broadway, and Shakespearean plays.
Redgrave is “the wife of Italian actor Franco Nero, the mother of actresses Joely Richardson and Natasha Richardson and of director Carlo Gabriel Nero, the mother-in-law of actor Liam Neeson and film producer Tim Bevan.”

She appeared as Queen Margaret in Richard III (2016). She became famous in 1961, after she played Rosalind in the Shakespearean comedy As You Like It, a role which won her awards.
Some of her acting credits include “A Man for All Seasons, Blowup, Camelot, Dropout, The Devils, Vacation, Murder on the Orient Express, Prick Up Your Ears, Mission: Impossible, Atonement, Letters to Juliet, Coriolanus, Cars 2, and The Butler.”
In 2022, the triple crown award-winning actress played Mrs Higgins in My Fair Lady at the London Coliseum.
Redgrave is currently listed amongst the top 10 greatest stage actor/actress of all time.
