“Despite his numerous accomplishments in Hollywood, Kevin’s foremost passion was his family and friends,” expressed Jay Penske, Deadline’s chief and close friend of Turen. “He took immense pride in his children, and he and his wife, Evelina, were dedicated to instilling strong values in them, ensuring they made a positive impact on the world. Our hearts collectively ache for them, and the loss of Kevin is deeply felt. Today, our town mourns the departure of one of its brightest rising stars.”

Turen had established significant collaborations, notably with Sam Levinson and Ti West. His work included productions such as “Euphoria,” “Malcolm and Marie” with Levinson, and West’s X horror trilogy.

Born and raised in Manhattan, Turen initiated his Hollywood journey by producing Larry Clark’s “Wassup Rockers” in 2005. Throughout his career, he also served as the president of David Goyer’s production company Phantom Four.

Reflecting on Turen’s impact, Goyer commented, “Kevin produced a film I admired with Richard Gere, ‘Arbitrage,’ and it’s the most successful film on VOD, and then ‘All Is Lost.’ I have a deal at Warner Bros, and we discussed bringing on an executive. I met with many people, and Kevin stood out among the usual suspects from the studio system.”

Kevin Turen leaves behind his wife, Evelina, and their two children, leaving a void in the entertainment industry and the lives of those who knew him.
