English former goalkeeper, Shaka Hislop collapsed while giving a punditry live on television. The former Readings player who is currently a sports host for ESPN, was giving live punditry during the match between Real Madrid and AC Millan when he passed out suddenly, however, he is currently conscious and well.

Hislop was standing alongside Dan Thomas when the incident occurred.

“My mate, Shaka, not here, but as it stands, it’s good news. He’s conscious, he’s talking, and I think he’s a little embarrassed about it all. He’s apologized profusely. Not a man who likes people to make a fuss of him. Obviously far too early to make any sort of diagnosis, but the important thing is that Shaka’s conscious and we spoke to his family as well, because you imagine seeing that happen live. We spoke to his wife and things are looking OK,” Thomas shared.
Hislop began his work in the media in 2008 when he began a weekly blog covering Major League Soccer for the British newspaper The Guardian’s website.
