Rhys Hoskins had a dog, an English golden retriever named Rookie that passed away in March 2021. An emergency trip to the hospital showed masses on his spleen which led to further complications.

Rhys Hoskins and his wife, Jayme, adopted a new golden retriever called Mae from the SPCA in April 2022.

Rhys Hoskins was named Phillies Minor League Hitter of the Month for April 2017. On September 2, 2017, Rhys Hoskins became the fastest player to hit 12 home runs, a feat he achieved in only 24 games.
