Copper was loved and very well understood by a few people due to his angry style of comedy.

Many people have expressed their condolences to his bereaved family.

Pat Cooper was a true legend. A comic in the purest sense of the word. Brutal and quick, few ever dominated a room like him. Hilarious human being. One of the last of the generation that formed stand up comedy today. I’ll miss him,” Andrew Idell.

Pat Cooper was labeled a bridge-burner, bitter, and self-destructive, but I choose to think of him as u compromising to his principles and his art. Being rough around the edges doesn’t mean you’re a bad person or lack integrity. Wish there were more comics like Pat was. #RIP,” Grade A USA.
