Production designer, Norman Reynolds has been reported dead. According to sources, he died peacefully surrounded by his wife and children by his side. His cause of death has not been revealed yet. He was 89 years old when he died.

“Norman was an exceptional person to work with. His contribution to the first entries of the Star Wars saga and Indiana Jones series helped set the standard for the look of these beloved stories that have inspired generations of film designers. Our thoughts are with the family,” his death was confirmed by LucasFilm LTD in a statement.

Norman Reynolds was known for several movies including Amazing Stories, Alive, Exorcist II, Star Wars trilogy, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and more.
He was a recipient of two Academy Awards. Academy Award for Best Production Design 1978 (shared with John Barry, Leslie Diley, and Roger Christian) and Academy Award for Best Production Design (shared with Leslue Diley and Michael D. Ford).
