American production photographer, Michael Lamont who was formerly a Broadway actor, has died after battling Alzheimer’s disease. He died on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at age 76.

He was a professional photographer who worked for numerous productions and institutions before his passing. Some of his works were done for companies like East West Players, NoHo Arts Center, Reprise, Getty Villa, Shakespeare Festival/L. A, The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, The Geffen Playhouse, The Old Globe, Pasadena Playhouse, McCoy Rigby Entertainment, Deaf West Theatre, and more.

Lamont started his career in the entertainment industry as a Broadway actor. He made his debut appearance in a Broadway production when he was just 13 years old. He appeared in Bye Bye Birdie in 1960 and went on to perform in 11 Broadway productions during the early stages of his career. Some of them include Oliver! Do I Hear a Waltz?, and The Royal Hunt of the Sun.
His love for photography took over acting and made him pursue that career full-time till he passed away.
