Who Is Luke Kennard?

Luke Kennard is a professional basketball player who plays the shooting guard position for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association.

Born on June 24, 1996, in Ohio, Kennard played high school basketball at Franklin High School in Franklin, Ohio and later committed to play for the Duke Blue Devils at Duke University.

Kennard had won the Parade National Player of the Year, and the Ohio Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year awards before the end of his collegiate career.

In 2017, Kennard was drafted by the Detroit Pistons as 12th overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft.

His first NBA game was against the Washington Wizards, and he ended the game scoring 11 points and recording 2 steals in 18 minutes.

In 2018, during a game against the Chicago Bulls, Kennard scored 10 points and 10 rebounds and made a 23 point career high.

In 2020, the Pistons traded Kennard to the Los Angeles Clippers in a three-team trade.
