George Fant was born to his parents Kim Fant and George Fant II. He hails from Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States of America.

George Fant was listed on their Top 150 as the 150th-best senior in the nation. After high school, George Fant attended Western Kentucky University, where he majored in recreation.

George Fant averaged 26.4 minutes per game, averaged 10.4 points, and 6.1 rebounds, and had a total of 37 blocks and 29 steals as a freshman at Western Kentucky.

George Fant’s 321 points scored ranked seventh all-time for a freshman in school history. Fant appeared in two games, recording one reception for seven yards, as well as two tackles for the season when he joined the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, football team.

George Fant made his first career start during Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints. On November 13, 2016, George Fant made his third career start against the New England Patriots.
