American rapper Gangsta Boo, born Lola Chantrelle Mitchell has died. Gangsta Boo was born on August 7, 1979 and died on January 1, 2023. She was 43 years.

Gangsta Boo, who was born in the Whitehaven area of Memphis, Tennessee was found dead at her home. Her demise was confirmed by Three 6 Mafia founder DJ Paul via Instagram.
At the time she died, she was in a relationship with Emmet Flores, the host of the Kush and Chemtrails podcast.
Though they kept their relationship secret, fans got to know of it after they appeared on WEtv’s Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition in 2022.

During the show, Boo and Emmett appeared before Judge Lynn Toler in an attempt to work out their issues.

Apparently, Boo felt that Emmett was not treating her with the respect she deserves and tolf Judge Lynn Toler:
“Put some respect on my name. I want him to respect me more.”
“[I want him] to hear my voice as a Black woman.”
“… He always cut me off… He just thinks he knows it all, like when I’m talking he’s automatically thinking of a reply.”
Emmett did confirm that they were having communication problems. He said:
“When you say certain things to me, you emasculate me.”
“I got a lot of insecurities about my manhood growing up without a dad.”
Also, ahead episode where couples took lie detector tests, Dr Ish Major, a board-certified psychiatrist, relationship coach, and national TV show host, said that a bag of contraband had been discovered in their room.
It was suspected that the bag belonged to Gangsta Boo since it was found next to her jewelry box, which led to the couple being kicked out of the show.
